Josh Davis, when not busy recording under his DJ Shadow alias, is a blackbelt record enthusiast and accumulator of sui generis recordings. Co-curated by Dante Carfagna, another vaunted compiler of records and record histories, the Cali-Tex label brought Pieces of Peace finally to vinyl and handled an LP’s worth of J.C. Davis recordings.
